About Us

The SchoolAdministratorsGuide.com is a service provided for the Association of California School Administrators by Association Revenue Partners and School Revenue Partners.

The Association of California School Administrators is the largest umbrella organization for school leaders in the United States, serving more than 17,000 California educators.

ACSA's top priority is advocating for public school students in kindergarten through grade 12, as well as adult learners. Our mission is to be the driving force of education in California and beyond.

Structured through more than two dozen job-alike and issue-oriented councils and committees, a board of directors, as well as a leadership assembly, ACSA focuses on school leadership and education policy issues at the state and federal levels.

Since its founding in 1971, ACSA has played a significant role in steering the course for improvements and progress in public education and school administration. ACSA has been a leader in maximizing education funding and ensuring local spending flexibility, as well as developing rigorous academic standards, 21st century learning and improving efforts to close the achievement gap.

ACSA has joined forces with the National Association of School Superintendents to strengthen the role of education leaders in California and nationwide.

"The role of the superintendent is widely recognized as one of the most vital, complex, and demanding in our profession," he said. "ACSA and NASS understand that the enormous challenges of that position demand efficient access to multiple resources, networks and tremendous competency building."

NASS was launched in 2009 to advance superintendents' success and promote their profession. In 2014, NASS initiated Project Lead, a national grassroots campaign to educate the public and lead the way to organized, rational, well-founded and effective long-range policy development.

"ACSA is the gold standard of educational organizations," said Theresa Daem, NASS executive director. "This is an opportunity to be aligned with the best, and we could not be more proud and excited."

Among many benefits, NASS supplies resources on technology, public relations, and budget and finance. Members believe collective energy, knowledge and expertise is the organization's key resource.

"Every day, superintendents across the U.S. are achieving amazing things," Daem said. "We envision what thousands of superintendents can do together."

This alliance falls within Strategies 3 and 4 of the ACSA Strategic Plan. Implemented in 2013, these strategies focus on initiating and building dynamic alliances with others of common purpose, as well as building and maintaining vibrant, purposeful networks of educational communities.

The partnership is ACSA's second nationwide advocacy alliance. Earlier this year, ACSA and the California School Boards Association formed a federal partnership to increase lobbying efforts in Washington, D.C.
